Obituary

Shirley Drummer, 74, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on October 13, 2017 at Liberty Hospital. She was born October 15, 1942 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Martha (Taylor) Harris and Roy Williams, Sr. Both parents along with her step-father, William C. Harris, Sr.; three brothers, Richard Andrews, Sr., Roy Williams, Sr. and William C. Harris, Jr.; sister, Odessa Harvey and step-daughter, Cathy Duncan all preceded her in death.

Shirley was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri and accepted Christ at an early age. She was employed at the Pickwick Hotel prior to working at Corrigan Answering Service as the office manager until her retirement.

Shirley was united in marriage to Arthur Drummer, Jr. on August 30, 1957 and to this union six children were born. She loved spending time with her husband and family. She never met a stranger and was like a second mom to all that met her. Her door and heart were always open.

Shirley enjoyed shopping, talking on the phone and listening to music. Her favorite holiday was Thanksgiving because she loved to cook. She would start cooking on Sunday for Thursday's dinner. Her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed by all.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving husband of sixty years, Arthur Drummer, Sr.; sons, Tony Drummer and Timmy Drummer; daughters, Treopie Drummer (Mark Johnson), Tanya Drummer, Trenita Drummer (Virgil Randolph) and Tiffany Drummer; brother, Donald Harris, Sr.; sister, Fredella Johnson (Curtis); eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
