Shon Demetris Stovall, 60, was born on January 13th, 1960 to Delford, Sr. and Gloria Flowers Stovall in Kansas City, Missouri and went home to be with the Lord on March 29th, 2020. She was preceded death by her father, grandparents-John and Rhoda M. Flowers, a uncle, Delbert Stovall.
Shon was affiliated with St. Louis Catholic Church through school she attended, St. Louis Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Hogan High School in Kansas City, Missouri, where she accepted Christ as her personal Savior.
Shon worked at GSA as a Administrator, SAK's Fifth Ave in sales department, Daycare provider educating children for thirty-one years and as a water Aerobics instructor for twenty-two years until her passing.
Shon was known by her family, friends as someone who always put others before herself never missing one's birthday, always giving of herself with money, time and kindness. She always had a sense of humor through good times, bad and filled the room with laughter wherever she went. She always was to coming to the aid of anyone in need, going above and beyond giving support to all.
Shon loved going to entertaining events; musical's, plays, movies, jazz concerts and the women's chorus group of Kansas City. She was a wonderful sister, aunt, daughter, friend, mentor and everything in between, inspiring everyone wherever she went. Everyone loved her very much she will be missed by everyone that knew her from all of the family, friends and to all of her mermaids.
She leaves to cherish her memory: mother, Gloria Stovall; two siblings, Dell Stovall (Denise) and Stacie Stovall; nephew, Ian Williams (Grace); uncles, Byron Stovall and John Flowers (Norma); cousins, Judy Stovall, Sheron Stovall, Leslie Flowers and Niki Flowers; a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside service Monday, April 6, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Brooking Cemetery. Service conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
