Simmie Butch Freeman was born February 17, 1943, in Los Angeles, California to Johnnie Freeman and Maxine Burdene Freeman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Gomez Freeman and Bobby Freeman. Simmie was educated in the Los Angeles California school system. He later joined the United States Air Force. He married Dianna Latigue in 1965 they divorced 1968. He later married Jackie Pruett on February 17, 1995. Simmie was employed by the Jackson County 10th Circuit Court House. He worked in the maintenance department until retirement. Simmie was a protective dog training expert and licensed barber. He loved sports especially boxing, football, and dog training. He departed this life on Sunday, February 20, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory a son Mondo Freeman, Independence, MO, a grandson Dominque Freeman and two granddaughters: Deja and Kayla Freeman. A host of other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kansas. Services entrusted to Duane E.
