Stanley "Stan" Groves Jr. was born on October 15, 1964, in Kansas City, Mo to Martha Hatter Groves and Stanley Groves Sr. He was preceded in death by his mother Martha and brother Charles. He was educated in the Kansas City Public School District attending Lincoln College Preparatory Academy for his high school education. That education led him on a career path as a forklift driver. Stan is survived by his devoted only child, Robin Sanders (James) and two precious granddaughters, Jordyn and Journey; aunts Mary and Vivian; cousins Melvin, Virgil and Tanya; lifelong friend Pete and a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Visitation 10:00 a.m. - 11. Interment Brooking Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
