Stephen William Anderson, Sr., 67, KCMO, passed away on March 24, 2018 at the home. He was born April 5, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, the second of three sons born to the late Earl R. and Bernice L. (Boggess) Anderson. He was preceded in death by his eldest brother, Larry E. Anderson. Stephen was baptized at an early age as a member of Morning Star Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri. He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District and attended Central High School.

Stephen served our country in the United States Air Force from 1978 to 1981. He was also employed for many years with the City of Kansas City at the Sanitation Department, and later the Water Department. Stephen retired from Ford Motor Company in August of 2011.

Stephen was an avid fisherman who loved to fish with his mother, brothers and grandchildren. He loved to play dominos and bid whiz with his friends and family. He was an excellent cook who loved to cook for his family.

He was survived by five children, Rachelle D. Britton (Darrick) of Raytown, MO, Stephen W. Anderson, Jr. of Lee's Summit MO, Diona S. Cohens (Steve) of Raytown, MO, Christopher Bradford (Sandy) and Tonya Townsend (Donald) both of Kansas City, MO; one brother, Robert Anderson (Cathy) of Raytown, MO; twenty-three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the remaining "OG's" George Jones, Nathaniel "Sam" Samuels.
