Tamera Janae Bankston, lovingly known as Tammy to her family, was born

in Kansas City, Missouri on August 9, 1974, to Carol Bankston Davis and

Theo Bankston. She was raised in Kansas City by Carol and her bonus

father, Herbert Davis, where she lived all of her life.

After graduating from Van Horn High School, she attended the University of

Central Missouri where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation

Psychology before going on to earn her Master's Degree in Counseling

from Webster University. She worked her entire professional career in

service to others, most recently as a Special Education Teacher at

Behavioral Health Allies, where she made a tremendous impact and forged

several meaningful relationships.

Tamera had three sons with Roy Wright II – Roy III, Tamerick, and Jordyn.

She was their confidant, their safe place, and their biggest champion. She

worked tirelessly to give them the best life she could, and was always

present with guidance, love and laughter.

Tamera was preceded in death by her father, Theo, Her grandfather Dave

McFadden, beloved grandmother Laverne "Big Mama" Adams, and

grandfather Desota Adams.

Those who love and remember her include her sons Roy III, Tamerick and

Jordyn of Kansas City, MO; mother Carol (Andre) of Kansas City, MO;

bonus parents Herbert and Michelle Davis of Kansas City, MO; sisters Kelly

Robinson of Kansas City, MO, Terah-Janel Fox (Derrick) of East Lansing,

MI, and Kandra Davis (Tracie) of St. Louis, MO; partner Chris Lanear of

Kansas City, MO; and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins

and friends.
