Tena R. Ross, 45, KCMO, passed away on October 25, 2016. She was born January 24, 1971 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to James and Wanda (Donley) Ross. Her brother, Anthony McBride preceded her in death. Tena attended Westport High School. She was employed at Ross Maintenance for over fifteen years. In 1996, Tena found the love of her life, Antonio Nichols and gave birth to her first born, Teona, in 1997. The couple was later blessed with two more children, India and Samaria. Tena had a passion for cooking and good food. She loved old school music, as well as watching movies. Tena treasured her family and found joy in being a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory; one son, Tony Nichols; four daughters, Santania Heard, Teona Nichols, India Nichols and Samaria Nichols; father, James Ross, Jr.; mother, Wanda Ross of North Little Rock, AR; five brothers, Andre Ross (Becky), James Ross, Wakeim Brock, Haseam Brock and Jaream Ross; one sister, LaTasha McBride; significant other, Antonio Nichols; best friend, Mia Wilson; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 5, 11:00 a.m. at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
