Thelma Louise Harvey, 76, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 8, 2016. She was born November 25, 1939 in Batesville, Mississippi to the union of Frank and Eva Mae (Prudy) Williams. Thelma accepted Christ at an early age at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Batesville. She was united in marriage to Fred Harvey, Sr. and they later moved to Kansas City in 1960. Their union was blessed with four children: Fred Jr., Curtis, Theresa and Edward. After fifty-four years of love and marriage, Fred Sr. preceded her in death. Thelma worked for Service Industrial for twenty-five years. She later gained employment at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) for twenty-five years until retiring in 2010. She was a member of Spruce St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church until her passing. She leaves to always cherish her memory: one daughter, Theresa Harvey; three sons, Fred Harvey, Jr., Curtis Harvey, Sr. (Jerrilynn) and Edward Harvey; siblings, Annie Willingham, Sarah Bishop (Richard), Jessie Williams (Louis), Robert Williams, N.V. Williams (Jean), Walter Williams and Jimmy Williams; eight grandchildren, Constance Harvey, Lakiea Howlett, Sherrell Harvey, Chantel Harvey, Temika Moland, Curtis Harvey, Jr., Gregory Harvey and Ebony Harvey; twenty great grandchildren; very special sister, Jessie Anderson; special friends, Dorothy Williams and Renee Harvey; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 19, 11:00 a.m. at Spruce St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the church.
