Obituary

Theresa Ann passed away on September 4, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born in Kansas City, KS on June 14, 1948, to Elsie Price and Arthell Jones. Theresa earned her AA degree from Penn Valley Community College. She was employed with the Economic Opportunity Foundation as a Center Director of Head Start for 30 years, after she retired Theresa became the proud owner of "My Preschool' childcare where she believed to train up a child in the way they should go and they will not depart from the faith. Theresa was baptized at an early age, and rededicated her life to Christ again in her adult years as a member of World Revival Church. Theresa married Arnold Huskey, Sr., in May, 1983 where they shared a life full of adventure, love, and passion for each other and family. Her mother and father, one brother, and a granddaughter preceded Theresa in death. Her grandkids called her "Granny T", her most recent joy was holding her newest great grandson Malachi who came to visit in July, and she expressed excitement of another great grand due in December. Theresa leaves to cherish her precious memories: her husband of 38 years, Arnold Huskey Sr. of Kansas City, MO; Three sons; Melvin Thomas Jr. (Carol) of Kansas City, KS, Arnold Huskey Jr. of Kansas City, MO, Joshua Calvin, of Tempe, AZ , Two daughters; Tonia Huskey-Bomar (Richard) of Grandview, MO, Bridget McLemore of Tempe, AZ; Eleven grand-children: Melvin Thomas, III, An'Ricco Thomas, Trae Thomas, Christian Albert, William Conley (Meilani), Dominique Huskey (Elizabeth), Dana Whittaker (Johlon), Leah Conley (Donnell), Jasmine Bomar, Brittany Watson (Brandon), Yazmin Bradley; Twenty-One great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 10, 2021. Visitation 9:00 a.m. - 11. Interment Highland Park Cemetery, Kansas City, Ks. Services provided by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Masks and social distancing is required.
