Theresa Ann Stevens was born February 24, 1965, in Milwaukee, WI to Jimmie Stevens Sr. and Delorse Bass Stevens. Theresa was raised on her grandparents' farm in Georgetown, MO, where her grandparents played a pivotal role in her life, a place where she had lots of cherished memories. She attended Taylor Chapel UMC and was a 1983 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. Theresa believed in working hard but playing even harder. She held three jobs, employed by Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital, Price Chopper and JCPenney. Theresa enjoyed several things but the top two were shopping, estate sale shopping and eating. One of her favorite restaurants was Smokehouse Bar-b-que along with the bake beans and bread (any fresh bread). Theresa had a green thumb and love to plant flowers. Theresa Spent many years in Denver, CO and Kileen, TX before moving to Kansas City, MO, where she met and married her husband, Robert Stevens. She leaves to mourn her husband Robert Stevens, her children Atiya (Nicole) Goodman, Brishell (Rachel) Goodman, Jerrylle (Marcus) Goodman, Cherryll (Cherry) Goodman, Darius Willingham, 12 grandchildren, her mother Delorse Stevens, sister Glenda Swinton, brother Travis Stevens, Aunt Joann Bass Gonder, along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of very dear friends. Theresa was preceded in death by her son Donnie Stevens, a brother Jimmie Dale Stevens and her grandparents Willard and stella (Gallie) Bass. Theresa will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean, I'll miss you, until we meet again. Services will be held, 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2022 at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. No Visitation. Disposition private.
