Obituary

Thomas Larry Holivay was born in Deering, MO November 27, 1944, and departed this life on October 26, 2022. Raised in New Madrid, MO by Pansy Watson (Parker) and Angelo Holivay.

He met and married Brenda and they lived together as husband and wife for 22 years. To that union was born Reginald, Devona, Dylan, and Courtney. The family grew to include nine grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his son Dylan Fletcher Holivay, parents Carl and Pansy (Parker) Watson, bonus dad Angelo Holivay and bonus grandchild Desmond Perryman.

Larry had a full life of love and support, and in 1963 he graduated from high school in New Madrid where he participated in baseball and basketball. After graduation he went on to attend Jarvis Christian College.

He was drafted into the US Army in 1965 and served a life altering tour in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1967. Larry was a wordsmith and an avid reader, enjoying history most. He was a sports enthusiast and had special love for baseball and all of its stats. He spent most of his working years in the family business of auto detailing and sales, where he was one of the best detail men around. He was also a member of Brown Chapel Baptist Church.

He will live on in our hearts through his many quotable sayings. He was loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children: Reginald Holivay (Pamela), Devona Holivay (Will), Courtney Holivay (Jermaine), and unwavering ex-wife Brenda Holivay, his eight grandchildren: Raegan Holivay, Jeremiah Holivay Gadson, Gabrielle Holivay, Adrianna Holivay, Dylan Holivay, Tarus, Bradley, William Devon Bradley, Alayna Bradley, his first cousins Mildred and Helen Rush, and

brothers-in-laws Tony and Tim Harris. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends
