Thomas was born on April 9, 1948, in St. Louis, Mo. where he began a life marked by service, dedication, and a zest for adventure. He moved to Kansas City at a very yound age. After earning his education, Thomas pursued a career in teaching within the Kansas City Public Schools system, where he touched countless young lives with his passion for education and his commitment to shaping future generations. After years of teaching, he embarked on a new journey in the transportation industry as an over the road truck driver—a role that combined his love for travel and exploration.

Thomas had a vibrant spirit and enjoyed motorcycle riding, spending quality time with his family and friends, and embracing life's many adventures. He was a devoted family man who cherished the simple joys of life and loved to travel and live life to the fullest. His presence brought joy, laughter, and warmth to all who knew him.

Thomas was a member of Sheffield Family Life Center in Kansas City, MO, where he was known for his unwavering faith and commitment to his spiritual community.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories. He is survived by his beloved children: Tamesha Henderson of Kansas City, MO, and his son Jay Angelo Ray; his devoted sister Hattie Fountain of Kansas City, MO; Grandchildren Duron, Demetrius, Devion, and Darius; Four great grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Thomas's life was a testament to faith, family, and resilience. While his physical presence will be greatly missed, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
