Tina Marie McCarthy, 59, was born on September 28, 1959 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Mable Harvey. She was preceded in death by both parents, and one sibling Eva Mae Steward. Tina was baptized into the Baptist faith as a child.

Tina was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Paseo High School and graduated from The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in 1981. She went on to receive her Associates degree in Arts at Longview Maple Woods and finished with a Bachelor's degree at UMKC.

Tina was employed by the Municipal Correctional Institution as a correctional officer and medical technician. She was also employed by Baptist Medical Center, and Smith Kline and Beecham as a Med and Laboratory Technician as well. Tina retired in April of 2000.

Tina McCarthy was a devoted wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her family more than anything. She also cherished her relationship with the Lord. She had a love for animals, music and spending time with her grandchildren.

Tina departed this life on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at NorthCare Hospice Center in North Kansas City, Missouri.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, SanTia McCarthy and Brittany McCarthy; two grandchildren, Deone McCarthy and Alyssa McCarthy; and one niece, Michelle Herron and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
