Tracey L. Pearson, 53, Raytown, Missouri, transitioned to heaven on May 13, 2016. She was born February 4, 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late great Vivian George Dennis and the late Joseph McAfee. She was the sixth of eight children. Her parents, two brothers, Steve McAfee, Richard Bradley and a host of other relatives preceded her to glory. As a lifelong area resident, Tracey was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, graduating from Southwest High School in the class of 1981. She retired from Constentino's Price Chopper after twelve years of service. Within her lifetime she has owned and operated tow beauty shops and was also a licensed cosmetologist.She was a master of re-upholstery and carpentry, and as a seamstress, interior decorator, and chef. She was a woman of many gifts. To top off being an unconditional and loving parent, she played a pivotal role in raising her great nieces, Heavin and Mariyana 'Bubba'. On her 47th birthday, she also became a grandmother to Ms. Jewell Luvie-Lynn Freeman and from that day forward they were inseparable. Tracey had an open heart and loved to put smiles on everyone's face that she came into contact with. She leaves to cherish her memory: her life partner, Michael Williamson; her children, Destiny Pearson (Franklin Jackson), Joseph Carter and Jewell Freeman; siblings, Harold Dennis (Jamesetta), Bennie Walsh (Renae), Mark McAfee, Stephanie London (James) and Gary Bradley (Salena); special nieces, Nikki Oliver (Nate), Rai-Shawn Moorehead (Lloyd); Kristena Rollie (Terrill) and Roshell Reed; special nephews, Steve Bradley, James London, Donte London, John Reddy Jr. and Nicholas Roddy; special cousin, Carla Dennis; special friends, Tawanda Spriggs & family, Jessica Gordon ( & Hunter), Alexandra Cook & family, Marie Cook (& Angel), Antoinette Wells (& Charles) 'Tree' and Brandon; and a host of many other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 21, 1:00 p.m. at Greater Grace Pentecostal Temple. Private disposition. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
