Tracy Denise Murray, was born on November 29, 1964 to the union of William T. Dawson and Mary Ann Young in Kansas City, Missouri. Her father and a daughter, Tiara Haynes preceded her in death.

Tracy was educated in the Kansas City Public Schools. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. She was employed as a financial counselor for HCA Healthcare.

Tracy was united in marriage to Shawn Murray on November 1, 2014. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and aunt who enjoyed spending quality time with her family. She will greatly missed all who knew and loved her.

Tracy departed this life on Friday, June 26, 2020 at the Research Medical Center.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Shawn Murray; step daughter, Lakia Lowe; mother, Mary Ann Young (Eugene); six sisters, Deborah Lee (William), Angela Dawson, Carmen Carpenter (Glenn) Loise Barnes, Kimberly Whitaker (Orlando) and Stephanie Davis (Benjamin); one brother, Samuel Dillard IV, a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service Saturday, July 11, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Cemetery. Visitation 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at the church. Service conducted by Dane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to the COVID 19 Panademic guest attending visitation/services are required to wear masks.
