Troy Alexander Avery, 32, was born on December 14, 1987 in Panorama City, California to the union of Victory and Michele Avery. His father, grandfather, Walter Barnwell, grandmother, Marie Cheek and uncle, Anthony Avery all preceded him in death.

Troy lived in the Kansas City area most of life and was educated in the Raytown Missouri Public Schools. He was a graduate of Raytown High School. He was a dispatcher for a local trucking company.

Troy was a loving companion, son, father and brother and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He departed this life on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his longtime companion, Rebecca Goin, of the home; son, Roman Avery; daughter, Rosella Avery; mother, Michele Avery; sister, Amanda Avery; grandmother, Loretta Barnwell; uncles, Vernon Barnwell, William Barnwell and Demetrius Avery; aunts, Francine Briscoe and Michelle Spackman; nephews, Amari Leggs and Major Tooley; niece, Amiyah Leggs, a host of cousins other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2020, 2:00 pm at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will held from 1:00pm - 2:00pm at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website. Due to the COVID 19 Panademic all guest are required to wear mask.
