Obituary

Troy Lewis, 71, was born on December 7, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Mr. Arthur C. Lewis and Mrs. Dorothy Holloway-Lewis. He was preceded in death by his parents and his eldest brother, Arthur M. Lewis.

Troy developed a religious faith at an early age. He attended Manual High School in Kansas City, Missouri. Shortly after, he moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he was proudly employed as the head-baker at the famous Brown's Bakery. As Troy was no stranger to working hard, he was also employed at the Oklahoma City Coca Cola Plant and the Wonder Bread Bakery.

After returning to Kansas City, Missouri, Troy became a manufacturer at Design of the Needle Manufacturing Company for many years until his health began to fail.

Troy possessed a kind and gentle heart and was a dear friend to all who crossed his path. He had a very generous soul.

In his earlier years Troy loved to play and watch basketball, and was a fan of all sports. He also loved listening and dancing to music, going to the movies and going to the state fair.

Troy departed this life on February 1, 2018 at his home in Kansas City, Missouri.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Archie Lewis and Christian Lewis (Minnie) both of Oklahoma City, OK, and Robert (Mickey) Lewis of Kansas City, MO; Essaline P. Scott (LeRoy Sr.) of Oklahoma City, OK, Kathelene H. Lewis-Cooper (Evan) of Kansas City, MO, Lillie B. Boston of Wichita, KS and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
