Vearester B. Briggs, known to all as "B", was born in Tarry, AR the 22nd day of February in the year 1948 to Emma Gather and Henry Briggs Jr. B, was educated in the Star City, AR public schools.

B, confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at Bright Star Missionary Baptist Church. Throughout her life, B demonstrated a strong faith in Christ, and many times prophesied God's will and words to others. B used her voice as an instrument for the Lord, she loved to sing. B had a fervent love for the Lord. At the age of 20, B moved to Kansas City, MO, and she attended Faith Mission COGIC under the leadership of Rev. Hubert Lambert Sr. In her later years, B attended Calvary temple and served the church until her health began to fail.

B, worked for Trinity Lutheran Hospital for 25 years, during her tenure, she received many accolades and awards for her dedication and hard work, ultimately, it was Research Medical Center from which B, retired after serving a total of 35 years in hospital housekeeping.

B, departed this life on Wednesday the 13th day of January in the year 2021. B, was preceded in death by her mom Emma Gather, sister Fannie Pennington, grand-mother Alice Gather and grand-father Rev. Bennie Gather.

B, leaves to cherish her loving memory her two sisters Rosetta Guy of Chicago, Illinois, Easter Boykin of Little Rock, AR, her Aunt Mary Fitzpatrick of Independence, MO and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. B, was a loving sister, aunt and friend to many, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Services will be Saturday, January 23, 2021, 2:00pm at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:00pm-2:00pm. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences maybe shared on our website.
