Vera Mae Blaylock was born to Richard Busey and Katherine Osborne on October 13, 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas.
She attended Lincoln High School, graduating in 1969. Vera was an active runner in school and ran track for the K.C. Jets. She then attended Penn Valley Community College for two years.
Vera started working for the Federal Reserve Bank in 1973 and retired in 2005.
Vera received the Lord in her life at an early age. She was an active member of Blue Hills Church of the Nazarene. She was the lead usher for many years. She loved assisting in the food pantry at the church.
Vera was very avid about fitness. She loved going to the gym, her cardio-kickboxing class, Tai-Chi, walking and traveling.
Vera was 1 of 9 children. She was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers: Richard Watson, Donald Watson, and Glen Watson and one sister Cathy Reese.
Vera will be missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son De'Andre Watson; her sisters: Theresa Jones, Norma Brown, Cecelia Murphy (Gerard), one brother Michael Watson (Vickie); four grandchildren, nine great grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
