Obituary

“

Vernon brought laughter, energy, and excitement wherever he went.

Vernon D. Meade Sr., of Kansas City, Missouri, lived with a joyful spirit, a strong work ethic, and a deep love for his family. Born in Kansas City to Vernon L. Estell and Deborah Meade, Vernon brought laughter, energy, and excitement wherever he went.

Vernon was the life of the party. Fun loving and full of personality, he loved life and knew how to have a good time. Whether he was listening to music, bowling, traveling, or gathering with family and friends, he made ordinary moments memorable. He also loved breakfast food and the simple pleasure of enjoying a good meal.

At a young age, Vernon learned to work and operate heavy equipment. That early experience grew into a lifelong passion for construction and working alongside his family. He loved his job and took pride in his ability to operate just about any type of equipment. Hardworking, capable, and dedicated, Vernon brought skill and enthusiasm to the work he did.

Above all, Vernon loved his children and grandchildren. They held a special place in his heart, and his love for them was central to his life. His family and friends will remember his devotion, his laughter, and the joy of being in his company.

A passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan, Vernon brought his spirited personality to cheering on his team. His enthusiasm for football reflected the way he approached life: wholeheartedly and with plenty of excitement.

Vernon was preceded in death by his father, Vernon L. Estell; his grandparents, Vernon and Rose Estell and Leroy and Blanche Meade; his sisters, Pam and Vashelle; and his nephew, Tre’Vion Stewart.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Endiah Meade and Allenah Meade; his sons, Vernon D. Meade Jr. and Quincy; his grandchildren, Zay'mir and Sa'nova Meade; his loving mother, Deborah Meade; his sister, Latrece “Treece” Meade; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Vernon’s life reminds us to work hard, love our families, make time for laughter, and enjoy the moments we are given. His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
