Verries Bonner, 84, passed away Tuesday, July 11 2017 at Truman Medical Center. She was born February 3, 1933 in Dumas Arkansas, the daughter of Curtis Gibson and Hattie Hokes. Verries completed secondary education in Arkansas before moving to Kansas city, KS and later made her permanent home Kansas City, MO. She became a licensed minister of the Gospel of Christ and was of Christian faith, loved sewing, fishing and cooking. She is survived by one son, Elvert Hall of Kansas City, MO and seven daughters, Dorthey Walker (Calvin Walker) Barbara Hall, Judy Hall, Veretha Hall, Mary Rhodes (Andrew Rhodes), Debra Rhodes all of Kansas City, MO, Nadine Johnson (Harold 'Buck' Johnson) of Memphis, TN; one sister Eddierose Wimbly of Eagletown, OK; and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 15, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
