Obituary

Wendell Keith Johnson, 57, passed away on May 16, 2019 at St. Luke's Northland Medical Center. He was born on February 16, 1962 in Prescott, Arkansas to the union of John E. and Ona Bell (English) Johnson. His mother preceded him in death. "Keith", as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was educated in the Blevins, Arkansas public schools. After moving to the Kansas City area he continued his education in the Kansas City Missouri public schools and was a graduate of Van Horn High School class of 1980. He furthered his education and became a registered respiratory therapist and gaining employment at Trinity Lutheran Hospital, St. Luke's Medical Center and the V. A. Medical Center until his health began to fail. Keith accepted Christ at an early age at St. Thomas Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas.

Keith was united in marriage to the former Ms. Charlotte Lipsey and to this union two children were born. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed playing dominoes and shooting pool, as he was in a pool league for several years.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory: one son, Justin K. Johnson of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Tiffany D. Pleus (Travis) of Jefferson City, MO; father, John E. Johnson (Anna) of St. Louis, MO; one brother, John Desheye Johnson of Hope, AR; three grandchildren, Kingsley Johnson, Miles Pleus and Logan Pleus; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services Tuesday, May 21, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
