Wilbert Lee Hutchinson, 71, KCMO, passed away on March 16, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. He was born September 12, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of the late Joe and Margaret Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by a son, Andre Logan; daughter and son-in-law, Richa Estes (Joe); three grandchildren, Ja'Riah Y. Hutchinson, Ja'Nayiah L. Hutchinson and Tay'Shawn D.A. Hutchinson; and a nephew, Maurice Walls. Wilbert accepted Christ at an early age. He was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri. Wilbert was a family man and also a man of few words. He was known for his expression, 'Bull Corn', whenever he sensed that something wasn't right. He loved music and could often be found listening to the radio in his favorite chair. Wilbert was sweet and kindhearted, and always willing to help out in any way he could. His kind and gentle demeanor will be greatly missed. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Emma Hutchinson; six sons, Wilbert L. Hutchinson, Matthew Hutchinson, Joshua Hutchinson, Robert D. Addison, Tyrone H. Addison and Jermain A. Addison all of Kansas City, MO; four daughters, Latasha Hutchinson-Stevenson, Tara Hutchinson, Jesella Hutchinson all of Kansas City, MO and Denise L. Addison-Stevenson (Charles) of Memphis, TN; one brother, Joe Hutchinson, Jr. of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Delores Walls of Kansas City, MO and Beverly Harrison of OH; a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 25, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Leavenworth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
