Willetta A. Bethea was born on May 23, 1933, in Leavenworth, KS to Catherine Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her mother Catherine Johnson, son Herman Brown, daughters Henrietta Brown, Mary K. Brown, and brother Douglas Bethea.

Willetta was educated in Leavenworth, Kansas. She relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where she was a resident for 50 years.

Willetta's hobbies included fishing, gambling, cooking, pool, darts, and cooking out. She made her own barbeque sauce, and her favorite saying was "Who dat say who dat, Every time I say who dat".

Willetta departed this life on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at University Health Truman Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri.

She will be deeply missed by all who know and love her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons: Andrew Brown, Oscar G. Bethea, and Quincy E. Brown all of Kansas City, Missouri, brothers Vernon Bethea, Herbie Bethea and Carlton Bethea of Omaha, Nebraska, sisters Kathy Bethea and Sherry Bethea of Washington, 12 Grandchildren, 54 Great grandchildren, 3 Great great grandchildren, a host of family members, and friends.
