Mr. William C. Boyd Sr. was born to James and Elizebeth Briscoe Boyd on December 2,1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. Reverend Boyd attended school in the Kansas City, Missouri School District.
After graduating from high school William joined the United States Army in which he fought in the Korean War. Sergeant William Boyd Sr., later returned to Kansas City and was united in matrimony to Katherine Trigg. William and Katherine were blessed with seven children.
During the 1960's Reverend William was a member of the Council for United Action (CUA), SAC 20, and a Civil Rights Activist.
In 1982 Reverend William C. Boyd Sr. was ordained by Reverend Phillip Lane which led to his journey to Richmond, Missouri to Minister as Pastor of New Life Family Church.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, storyteller, and a True Man of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine in 2017, both parents, a brother James Boyd and sister Bertha May Boyd.
God called him home and he departed this life on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Gregory Manor Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Boyd (Diane) of Arizona, Kathryn Elizabeth Boyd, of Columbia, MO, Michael E. Boyd (Grace) of Washington and Olivia Boyd, Harker Heights, Texas; his sister Corine Jackson, his brother Clarence of Kansas City, MO. Olivia Boyd and his stepchildren: LaFonda Johnson, Cynthia Johnson, Michelle Littlejohn (Deceased), Reverend Jeffery Johnson, a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
