William
Hawkins Jr.
Nov 9, 1967 — Jun 11, 2017
William Hawkins, Jr., 49, was born November 9, 1967 to the union of William Hawkins, Sr. and Betty J. (Trotter-Hawkins) Mitchell in Kansas City, Missouri. His parents and grandparents all preceded him in death, along with an uncle Jerry W. Trotter and cousins Alex Clark and Anthony Deontay Swope. William was raised by his beloved grandmother, Madie Trotter along with his uncles and aunts. As a lifelong area resident, he attended the Kansas City, Missouri School District and graduated from Paseo High School. After graduating, he met Kimberly Dillard-Whitaker and became the proud parents of a daughter, KimMeisha Antoyya. William later married Carmen Eatmon. The marriage was later dissolved. William confessed his life to Jesus Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Emanuel Johnson. Affectionately known as 'Jr.' and 'Dollar Bill', William had many skills. He was passionate about working with cars and selling them. He worked at a variety of jobs in the area, most recently being employed by Jet.com. William was a very loving and caring person with everyone he encountered. He loved his daughter and his family with all his heart. He spent as much time as he could with them on holidays, and love following his uncles, 'Little James' and 'JTKC' (Jerry) around town or traveling to various cities for the annual 'CTB Family Reunion' with them. His favorite things to do were always eating good food, hanging out with his buddies and his cousins Markie and Robert, or getting together with friends and family to watch football and basketball games. William Hawkins departed his life on June 11, 2017 at Olathe Medical Center. He will truly be missed by his beloved daughter, KimMeisha Hawkins-Dillard (Stinkk) and her sister, Erica A. Cain of Kansas City, MO; two brothers, Damon Hawkins (Geri) and Andre Love (Felicia); one sister, Missy Macario of Oklahoma; two nieces, Jasmine Todd Hawkins and Da'johne' Hawkins; uncle, James Gee (Cynthia); aunts, Patricia Meadows (Printis), Teresa Buford (Tony), and Lavette Trotter; and a host of other nephews, nieces, relatives and special friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 24, 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment XII Gates Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
