Obituary

Willie Bell (White) Anderson, 85, was born August 16, 1932 in Tupelo, Mississippi where she also received Christ at an early age. She was preceded in death by her mother, Modina Robinson; sisters, Bessie Polk and Mary Montgomery; and son, Murphell L. White.

Willie Bell married the love of her life, Henry L. White in 1951 and to this union nine children were born. The couple settled in Kansas City in the early 1950's where they raised their family.

Willie Bell was a dedicated and hard worker. She worked at the Continental Hotel for a number of years and later went on to work for the Capp's family for a several years before retiring.

Willie Bell was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was very proud of her family and excited to become a grandmother to twenty-two grandchildren. Willie Bell loved holidays and family gatherings. Any chance to spend time with her family was important to her and she would spend hours cooking and preparing for their arrival.

Willie Bell spent her life as a humble and faithful servant of the Lord. She was an active and dedicated member of her church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school for many years.

Willie Bell departed this earthly life on June 30, 2018. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory: eight children, Alamin Hazziez (Tauheedah), Larry White (Elaine), Perry White, Terry White, Betty White, Carol White, Deborah Anderson (Lee), and Regina Hyder (Columbus); one sister, Annie Pearl Sykes; twenty-two grandchildren, fifty-three great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services Saturday, July 7, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Brooking Cemetery. Visitation 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Condolences may be shared on our website.
