Willie Lee Judon, Sr., 91, KCMO, passed away on March 9, 2017 at the V.A. Medical Center. He was born April 18, 1925 to King Judon and Clara Lee Robins. He was joined in union to Deloris Mayo on September 29, 1944. To their union nine children were born. Deloris, along with three sons, Steven C. Judon, Vincent G. Judon and William 'Billy' Judon all preceded him in death. Willie professed his life to Christ at an early age and was a member of St. Stephen Baptist Church. He worked a series of jobs including Brittons as a cook and at the Union Station, where he lost his wallet and it was found and returned after thirty years. Willie finally settled at the Kansas City Board of Education from which he retired in 1991 after twenty-three years of service. Willie also served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharged. Willie enjoyed life; he loved to sit in his swing on the front porch and just relax. He was a very friendly and giving person who was always willing to help even a stranger. He loved attending family gatherings and spending time with family members he hadn't seen in awhile. He leaves to cherish his memory: three sons, Roy E. Judon of Moreno Valley, CA, Wayne A. Judon (Doris) and Altroy L. Judon both of Kansas City, MO; three daughters, Charlene Peterson of Kansas City, MO, Rosalind S. Robinson (Jeffrey) of Raymore, MO, and Sharon E. Judon (Bennie) of Kansas City, MO; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 18, 11:00 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
