Willie McKinzy, 64, passed away on June 5, 2019 at Research Medical Center. He was born on June 3, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri to L.C. McKinzy and Mary Lee Johnson–Brown. He was preceded in death by both parents.

Willie was educated in the public schools of Kansas City School District. He received Christ at an early age. He was employed by Deffenbaugh Trash Company.

Willie loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was always head strong and did things his own way.

He leaves to cherish his memory: nine sisters, Katherine Hargrove-Roosevelt, Lorrean McKinzy, Adrienne Franklin, Trena Taylor, Alfreda Taylor, Debbie Wells, Althea Taylor, Jacqueline Burnett and LaShannon Jones; twelve brothers, Robert Lee Vickers (Elise), Marvin Franklin, Leonard McKinzy (Andrean), Craig Tinsley, Joseph McKinzy (Terry), Marvin McKinzy (Cidra Kelley) L.C. McKinzy, Jr. (Janet), Billy Ray McKinzy, Larry E. McKinzy, Maurice Scott (Janice), Melvin Earl Jetton and Harrell Richerson; one uncle, three aunts, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousin, other relatives and friends.
