Willie Artel Smith was born on February 28, 1953 to the union of Willie Smith, Sr. and Arzelia Mae Macon in Kansas City, Kansas.

Willie was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri public systems, after high school he went to service in the United States Military.

Willie married Deborah D . Lee married on June 27, 2007 for thirteen years, together for twenty-eight wonderful years.

Willie was self employed, he enjoyed making people laugh with his jokes, watch his western and word search puzzle.

Willie departed this life on April 4, 2020 at Research Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish in his memory: His loving wife, Deborah D. Lee; his children, Essence Monique Lee, Lentan Smith, Trellisa Smith, Shanay Adams; seven grandchildren; his brothers, Gerald Lynn Smith and Wesley Macon; two sisters, Mary Andrews and Syprena Macon; a host of other close relatives, extended family and friends.
