Wynona was born on Feb 29th, 1944, in Wichita KS to Walton Morgan and Maurice Johnson.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Gerald Black and both parents. Wynona was educated at Wichita State University and Texas Southern University. She received her master's degree from Webster University.

She worked for equal rights and participated in one of the first sit-ins in the nation.

Wynona married to Gerald Black on December 29th, 1966. She also was employed at the United States Department of Agriculture, rising to the level of Director. Wynona loved to travel, read, and learn about history and culture. Most of all she loved being a mother and partner.

Wynona departed this life on December 11, 2023. She leaves to cherish her memory her four children: Gerald Black Jr, Bradley (Toya) Black, Kemuel Bellows, and Wynona Black. Other family including Nodra Barnes, Rodney (Brenda) Thomas and family.
