Zebedee Adams, 48, was born June 22, 1969 at General Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, to Zebedee Fortman and Janice Adams. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two aunts, and a special cousin, Charles "Man" Smith.

As a lifelong area resident, Zebedee was educated in the public schools of Kansas City, Missouri attending Lincoln High School and graduating from Central High School in the class of 1987.

Zebedee accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to the former Ms. Cynthia Kidd in 1996 and to this union was born a son, Aaron Akia Zebedee Adams.

In his earlier years, Zebedee was employed at Worlds of Fun, House of Lloyd and Sprint. He most recently worked as an IT Technician for Federal Reserve Bank for a number of years until his health began to fail.

Zebedee departed this life on September 7, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his son, Aaron Adams of Lee's Summit, MO; daughter, Samantha Kidd of Lee's Summit, MO; father, Zebedee Fortman of Grandview, MO; mother, Janice Jackson (Marvell) of North KCMO; grandmother, Birdie Adams of KCMO; brother, Zebedee Fortman and sister, Deidre Fortman-Johnson both of KCMO; special cousin, Eric Smith; special mother-in-law, Anita Green (Wendall); Henry Kidd (Melissa) and a host of other relatives and friends.
